Estimadas plantas, árboles y arbustos en general,


Esperando se encuentren bien, considerando la actual situación de confinamiento del personal humano, les informo sobre algunas medidas que es importante tomar en cuenta para evitar, en la medida de lo posible, que se afecte el desarrollo, crecimiento y salud de aquellas especies que dependen de los cuidados suministrados por los responsables de cada área.

A aquellos que se encuentran al aire libre, se les informa que no deben preocuparse por la ausencia de personas circulando en dichos espacios abiertos. Dado que no será posible que se lleve a cabo el riego por parte del personal, el clima se ha organizado a modo de que las nubes puedan proveer suficiente lluvia para que no sufran de suministro de agua. Así mismo, el sol se mantendrá atrás de las nubes en largos periodos del día, para evitar sobrecalentarles pero saldrá lo suficiente como para que sigan haciendo sus funciones de fotosíntesis y no les falte el alimento requerido para dar continuidad a su crecimiento y desarrollo. En particular, al pasto y a los arbustos, se les agradece su paciencia porque por el momento se suspenden los servicios de poda. En cuanto sea posible se reanudarán y se atenderán las necesidades de cada quien, iniciando con quienes sea más urgente atender.

En cuanto a las plantas que habitan al interior de las casas y departamentos, se les recuerda que la situación actual solamente afecta a las personas y no a las plantas. Es importante mantener la calma y no preocuparse por la situación. La mayoría de las personas se están quedando en casa para evitar el contagio. Si se encuentran en buen estado de salud, seguirán atendiendo y cuidando de ustedes. Favor de mantener el mismo crecimiento y desarrollo para que quienes están al pendiente de sus cuidados, no se preocupen y vayan a tomar otras medidas que pudieran afectar su salud.

Aquellas plantas que tengan programado florear en estos días, se les agradece que mantengan el orden establecido. Recuerden que las flores ayudarán a las personas a mantener una actitud que favorecerá las atenciones que dan a todos en general. Es muy importante la participación de todas las plantas de ornato que adornan el interior de los hogares. De igual manera se agradece a las pequeñas especias que están fomentando que en las cocinas se utilicen de maneras que no se había hecho antes, descubriéndose nuevos sabores y platillos que disfrutan las familias reunidas (porque no pueden salir de casa).

Y por último, sin ser de menor importancia, ánimo a aquellas pequeñas plantas que apenas están conociendo este mundo. Ya verán que crecerán y en menos de lo que lo piensan, serán grandes y darán los frutos para los que estaban destinados, creando estrechos lazos con las personas que los sembraron y acompañaron por un tiempo al menos.

I hope that you are well considering the present circumstances that require the confinement of our human personnel. I’m writing to inform you about certain measures that are important to undertake to avoid, as much as possible, any negative impacts upon the development, growth, and health of those species that depend upon the care supplied by those responsible within each area.

To those who find themselves in public spaces, we would like to inform you that you should not worry about the absence of humans circulating in said public spaces. As it is not possible for personnel to carry out watering duties, the weather has organized itself in such a way that clouds may provide sufficient rainfall so that water supply is not negatively impacted. In the same manner, the sun will remain behind clouds for large portions of the day, in order to help you avoid any unnecessary overheating. However it will appear long enough for you to engage in photosynthesis and ensure sufficient nutrients to continue your growth and development. In particular, we appreciate the patience of the grasses and the bushes, as trimming and yard work services are suspended until further notice. When it is possible to restart these services, we will attend to everyone’s needs, beginning with those experiencing the greatest urgency.

In the case of plants that inhabit the interior of homes and apartments, we remind you that the current situation only affects humans, and not plants. It is important not to worry about the situation and maintain calm. The majority of humans are staying at home in order to avoid infection. If they find themselves in a state of good health, they will continue caring for and attending to you. We encourage that you maintain the same level of growth and development so that those who are tending to your care, do not worry, and thus take any measures that could negatively impact your health.

We would be grateful to those plants which are anticipating to flower during this time, to maintain their established schedules. We must remember that flowers help humans to maintain an attitude that favors the reliable care that they render to everyone. The participation of all ornamental plants that adorn home interiors is very important. In this vein we acknowledge the small spice plants that are fomenting their use in kitchens in ways previously unknown, discovering new flavours and dishes that reunited families can enjoy (as they cannot leave their homes).

Last, but not least, we encourage those small plants that are only now coming into this world. You will grow, and faster than you can anticipate, you will be tall and give fruits as you were destined to do so. Creating strong bonds with the humans who planted you and accompanied you for a time, no matter how brief.
